Location(s): South Terminal
Reporting directly to the Flaking Supervisor the Chemical Operator is responsible for packaging, loading and unloading material within a warehouse or storage facility using drums and totes.
Education, Credentials, Licenses:
High school diploma or GED
*Experience working in a manufacturing or warehouse setting a plus.
*Utilizing hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, conveyors, pumps, or other handling equipment to move material to and from trucks and tanks within the storage facility.
*Must have competent skills in using a computer to access internet and e-mail.
PERFORMANCE MEASURES AND STANDARDS
*Follow all safety, environmental, and quality policies and procedures
*Act and be safe at all times.
*Understand and adhere to all task, departmental, site, and company safety rules or standards.
*Assist in maintaining a safe work environment.
*Comply with all customer, regulatory, and quality requirements in the performance of all tasks as set forth in the company’s policies and procedures.
*Keep equipment and work area clean and organized
*Understand and follow instructions to produce mixtures of various ingredients & chemicals that meet customer specifications.
*Operate various process equipment such as pumps, motors, agitators, steam heating systems, and valves.
*Operate drum and tote packaging equipment.
*Load and unload trucks as needed.
*Verify final package weight and insure that product meets customer specifications.
*Properly label and store packaged material.
*In your absence you are to ensure that the tasks assigned to you are adequately covered by trained personnel. You are responsible to communicate and work with your manager to ensure your workload is covered when you are out.
*Other duties as assigned.
