Product Description MIGLYOL® 8810 is an ester based on 1,3-Butanediol and caprylic/capric fatty acids derived from coconut- and palm kernel oil. It is a saturated, non-oxidizing neutral oil used e.g. in hypo-allergenic cosmetics as a non-sensitizing oil component.

APPLICATIONS
MIGLYOL® 8810 is a low-viscosity, colourless oil with a neutral odour and taste. It is soluble in ethanol, diethyl ether, n-hexane, fatty oils and is virtually insoluble in water. It is free of any stabilizers.
MIGLYOL® 8810, like MIGLYOL® 812 and MIGLYOL® 840, is a polar ester oil with a similar cloud point of minus 10 °C and can easily be emulsified.
COSMETIC FUNCTIONS
Owing to its low irritation potential and its excellent spreadability MIGLYOL® 8810 is well-suited for products for sensitive skin areas (mascara, make-up remover, baby skin etc.). MIGLYOL® 8810 has a very low viscosity and therefore spreads easily on the skin.

Procedure
1. Heat Phase A and B separately to approx. 75–80 °C.
2. Add Phase A to Phase B with stirring. Homogenize.
3. Cool Phase A/B with gentle stirring to approx. 30 °C.
4. Add Phase C to the emulsion.
